Simon Says

One of the most presumptuous phrases in the English language is "for those of you who don't know me."  It's a funny thing to say, isn't it? It basically assumes that your audience consists of friends and family, but you are making a point to publicly extend some courtesy to the few strangers who are crossing your path for the first time. Well, allow me to be just as presumptuous in my opening post by beginning with: "For those of you who do know me."

For those of you who do know me, I'd like to encourage you to find another blog to explore today.  Make every effort to look into fresh perspectives on old and new subjects.  There are billions of people in the world and there are billions of respective philosophies.  This is one of the beauties of blogging:  It allows us to subscribe (figuratively and literally) to the perspectives of people, organizations and movements that we may not have otherwise encountered.

So, now that I have effectively weeded-out my entire readership, allow me to introduce myself  ; )  My name is Simon Mutlu, and I recently became the Director of Sales here at WhatCounts.  I am neither an Internet sage nor a marketing guru.  I'm just a former music major who has spent the majority of the past ten years helping businesses maximize their online potential through innovative solutions and professional services.  My mom is a teacher.  My dad is an information security guy.  My sister is a marketer.  My fiancĂ©e is an analyst.  Somewhere in the intersection of all of those things is my career.

Thus, I intend to provide some online marketing and business culture perspective that is free of unsolicited WhatCounts commercials.  Please feel free to email your feedback!
